Locker Room Advice

  1. There will be a lot of kids in the locker rooms at the same time and PE teachers will not be able to supervise every inch of the locker rooms at every moment.

  2. Understand that some middle-school kids are jerks, and they will often act like jerks in the locker room if there is no teacher watching.

  3. After attendance is taken, try not to be the first kid to get to the locker room.  The crowd often crushes the first kids into the locker rooms.

  4. Bring deodorant.  Kids will tease you for being stinky if you do not use deodorant--even if you really are not stinky.

  5. Change with friends if you can.

  6. Keep your padlock combination secret.  Do not even tell your friends.

  7. Do not leave anything unattended.  It will get stolen.

  8. Do not be surprised if bad kids throw things over the rows of lockers.

  9. Put your backpack in the bicycle cage on the side furthest from the building.  There are cameras that can record anyone attempting to steal from backpacks, and they have a much better view of the side of the bike cage furthest from the building.
